fantasy-fallacy-tumblingstone asked: What if you don't know how to write autistic characters - and don't want to write disrespectfully or in a wrong way?
savingpltravers replied:

in the words of emma thompson: “don’t be afraid to fail, it’s the only way you’ll learn”

plus, if your intentions are good and you are aware of the incorrect stereotype that we often see in movies and you’re willing to take a moment to listen to actual autistic people and their stories, you’re good. :) if the intention is there to accurately write autistic people, you’re already very much on the right path! :) ❤️
