honestly the dream is to be a mary poppins to all autistic girls

i want to protect them and cherish them and make sure no harm to comes to them, i want to teach them what i’ve learned being autistic woman, i want to always encourage their stimming, i want to always be there for them, espcially when they’re anxious, most of all then. if they’re okay with hugging i want to wrap them up in a tight embrace and tell them everthing will be alright and that i’m proud of them and that they’re so brave and absolutely worthy of everything good in the world. i wanna help them to create order in their lifes, as that is exactly what mary poppins does, she creates order from chaos, and that way make them feel less anxious. i just want them to feel so safe and protected and at peace. i want to help them find the quiet when it feels like there’s a hurricane raging through their minds and they just want to scream and kick and cry and I’ll let them, until they finally feel still again. i want to be there for them and help them and nurture them.
